Brett Favre Is Apparently Back

I've been entertaining company so I've been watching from the sidelines, but apparently Brett Favre is reporting to camp.

Now, some folks thing this is an awful thing. I disagree. Open competition is great for business, it's great for innovation, it's great for America, and it's great for the Green Bay Packers.

There are only a few realistic outcomes here, none are particularly negative:

1. Aaron Rodgers wins the starting QB job and performs well.
2. Favre wins the starting QB job and performs well.
3. One starts, performs poorly, and is replaced.
4. The Packers trade one for value.

Now, I don't really see a problem with any of those outcomes. Unless you are a nut who believes in nonsense like chemistry being more important than talent, I don't really see how you could have a problem with this either. Reggie Jackson spits on your chemistry and so do I.

May the best man win...either way the Packers are making the playoffs.
