Pre-Flight Rumor: All the tea for CC

If this is true, the Brewers are going to get absolutely FLEECED.
The Milwaukee Brewers are serious about trading for Indians
left-hander C.C. Sabathia — more serious, perhaps, than any other club.

The Brewers' offer for Sabathia includes Class AA left fielder Matt
LaPorta, according to sources with two other clubs that are interested
in acquiring the pitcher.
Class AA shortstop Alcides Escobar also may be in the Brewers' proposed deal, one of the sources says.

This would be a complete disaster of a trade for Milwaukee. If the Brewers are willing to give up LaPorta and Escobar, they should have done that type of future molesting deal at the break last year and gotten Johan Santana for the push when the team was faltering.

A year when the Cubs are dominant and the Cardinals are better than expected, why piss away two of the best minor league players around for a couple months of a marginal improvement at the pitching spot? (Unless that marginal improvement is throwing Mota into Lake Michigan).

Allright, Happy 4th, I'm off to the airport, enjoy the weekend.
