Brewers Want Vincente Padilla...Do You?

According to Ken Rosenthal (via mlbtraderumors.com)

At least three teams have inquired on the Rangers' Vicente Padilla: the Mets, Yankees, and Brewers. Jon Daniels is looking for "quality young pitching."

The Brewers don't have a ton of "quality" young pitching. Padilla is certainly not worth a Manny Parra of even a McClung. I guess I'd have no problem giving up Jackson for him, considering Jackson can't get it together and Padilla is a marginal upgrade over Bush (Padilla is pitching league average in Texas, I imagine that would improve slightly in the NL Central).

Having said that, if the Brewers have to give up anything legit to get him, not a chance this is a good move. As always, depends on the pieces.

Also, Adam Dunn is apparently not generating any bites. My opinion...Prince and Parra for Dunn and Bailey! Get Dusty in on the talks, he's dumb enough to take that deal.
