All Stars all the time

Major League Baseball takes it's annual mid season break to make room for Little League All Star tournaments. All across America fans by the hundreds visit their local Little League park to cheer on their home teams to victory.

Congratulations to the Oak Creek Majors Baseball and to South Milwaukee Majors
Softball for winning their District 6 championship and moving on to State competition.

The Majors Softball title game was an especially cool event. South Milwaukee hosted the tournament and our Park is under a Mitchel Field flight pattern. As my wife was finishing the national anthem a loan c-130 Hercules flew overhead as if it had been orchestrated. There is nothing like the Star Spangled Banner and a flyby to charge an America loving crowd.

The d6 Junior Softball championship could be decided tonight as South Milwaukee holds a one game victory in the best of three series against Oak Creek. My daughter is on that team so Go Rockets! Let's get to Appleton!

The Junior Baseball tournament is hosted by Franklin and started on Saturday. If you need a live baseball fix check out Junior Baseball on Franklin's 90 ft diamond. The competition is Excellent.

The younger divisions start their tournaments this week. 8-9, 9-10, and 10-11 teams will play through July 22 for the chance to advance to State. Good luck to all boys and girls.
