It appears we saw a little slice of history yesterday

It appears that when Ryan Braun and Gabe Kapler went yard yesterday at Miller Park it was the first time two Jewish players have hit home runs in the same inning of a MLB game. This is according to Jewish Major Leaguers

I want to give a special thanks to Mitch Nelles from ESPN 540am who answered an email of mine and actually talked to a friend of his who is involved with Jewish Major Leaguers to help find the answer

I know here at the WSB and over at BCB a lot has been made of the success of Braun and now Kapler and the fact they are Jewish. Mostly because Jewish players are so rare in MLB.

Do we have any Jewish Baseball fans here at WSB I know there are a couple over at BCB. Mitch would like to talk to you if you are willing.

As you know I am not Jewish but I am a history nut so stuff like this interests my baseball side but my historian side also.

Plus they are Brewers players so forget about it what ever they do we care about. :)

So Congratulations to Braun and Kapler for their claiming a little slice of history.

Hurray Beer
Chris
