Fuck the NCAA Selection Committee aka what a fucking shitty day

I have been down in Chicago most of the day at a meet so I was out of the loop. What a waste of a day. The meet sucked it was the worst run meet I have been at this year. Then I realize some where around Racine on the drive down that I forgot to set my DVR to record the Wisconsin game.

The day just kept getting better. I will not bore you with all the reason that the meet in Illinois sucked just trust me it did. Then on the ride home I get to hear that not only did Wisconsin get shafted with a 3 seed, but it is also in a region where it will have to beat USC to get into the sweet 16 This is after winning their Conference regular season title and the Conference tourney title. They finish the season with 4 losses all to ranked teams.

But they are looking up at a Texas team that has 6 losses after losing to Kansas today in the finals of the Big 12 Tourney oh and do not forget 2 of those 4 losses where to Big Ten teams Wisconsin and MSU. This is plain bullshit the NCAA Selection Committee was determined to make Texas a 2 seed no matter what happened today.

Same with Georgetown getting a 2 seed even though they lost in the finals of the Big East Tourney, they have more losses than Wisconsin and were ranked below Wisconsin in both polls, but they get the number 2 seed.

The Selection Committee is a fucking joke. If you are Duke or Georgetown what you actually do on the court does not matter. I am willing to bet if Wisconsin losses to MSU or Illinois they drop to a 4 seed.

The reason this pisses me off so much is the NCAA Tourney is not won by your seed but by the path your seed gives you.

Look at Wisconsin path to the Sweet 16 they have to beat Cal State Fullerton and then USC to get to the Sweet 16 as a fucking 3 seed.

Now Georgetown's path looks like this they play the UMBC Retriever(who ever the fuck that is what the fuck does UMBC stand for) and then the winner of the Gonzaga vs. Davidson game.

Hmmm which path would you want?

Wait I am not done lets look at the path Texas will have

Austin Peay in the first round and then the winner of Miami vs. Saint Marys College.

Once again Hmmm which path would you want?

That is why the seeding matters and Wisconsin got fucked by the assholes on the committee who I believe decided a week ago that teams like Texas and Georgetown were going to do no worse than 2 seeds no matter what they did on the court.

First we get fucked by the BCS 2 years ago and now this bullshit. What the fuck can you do when you have a system that rewards programs for their history as much as what they did this season.

If you look at all the number 2 seeds only Tennessee matched Wisconsin record Duke Texas and Georgetown all have more losses and not one of the three won their conference tourney. Why have the fucking tourneys if winning them does not matter?

As you can tell I am really fucking pissed about 3 seed can't you tell ;)

So let me say again Fuck the NCAA Selection Committee and the fucking horse they rode in on.
