Prince Fielder is something special

Congratulations to Prince Fielder, who tonight hit his 46 home run of the season, a line drive over the Party Deck in right field.

With that shot he took sole possession of Brewers single season home run record passing Gorman Thomas and Richie Sexton who both had hit 45.

With 15 games left he has a very good chance to get to 50. Man and he is only in his second full year.

I have been very lucky, I saw his first at bat as a Brewer down in Tampa back in 05. I was also at the Twins game when he hit his first home run as a Brewers a pinch hit 3 run blast on the same night Rickie Weeks hit his first home run as a Brewer also. I was also down in Chicago, where his two home run night helped win us that 12 inning game. Like I said, I have been at the right place at the right time over the last couple of years.

If the Brewers can afford to keep him he is going to join the likes of Robin Yount and Hank Arron and Eddie Matthews as a Giant of Milwaukee Baseball

Here is to number 46 with video of one of his first of the season, his second of night back in April against the Cubs. This one was in the top of the 12th and would win the game.

All Hail Prince the King of Miller Park
