What the hell is Damian Miller eating right now.

His last two games have been monsters and he pretty much kicked the Pirates asses single handedly last night in a 10-3 game that was not the rout the score makes it out to be.

2 home runs, one of them a Grand Slam and a run producing single. Miller tied a Brewers record with 7 runs in a single game, if it were not for a terrible call at 2nd base in the 9th he would have broken the record Hall was safe at 2nd and Millers last hit of the night would have scored him.

So that is 2 games for Miller and 3 home runs 7 hits 11 rbi's and 3 runs not a bad couple of days work for a back up catcher.

The Brewers put together a 7 run 7th inning helped by Millers Grand Slam to break open a 3-3 game. Suppan scuffled but gave them 5 inning and only gave up 3 runs he did just enough to keep them in the game and then Carlos Villanueva came in and pitched 4 outstanding innings he got the first 9 guys he saw out and held the Bucs scoreless and picked up his 6th win.

I know everyone is crazy about Yo with good reason but CV is turning out to be something special out of the Pen.

So the Brewers took the first step in removing the Cloud that has hung over the Brewers at PNC Park. They pulled to even on the current road trip at 2-2.

They are also back to 14 games above 500 only 34 more wins to a winning season.

A couple of big unknowns tonight
Capuano coming off the DL vs. Youman for the Pirates in his first start after being called up from AAA. So we really do not know how either of these guys is going to pitch tonight.

Odd start time today at PNC Park on the banks of the Allegheny River it is 3:05pm Ct so it is a 4:05pm local in Pittsburgh kind of a tweener start not a true "day" game but not a "night" game either. Actually the next three days are "day" baseball in the series due to the Holiday.

No TV if you are in the instate Media Market but those of you outstate with EI or MLB.TV can pick up the FSN-Pittsburgh feed. In state we will have to "settle" for Uke and Jim and the BRN.

This is one thing about MLB's blackout policy that is stupid. The game is in Pittsburgh and not on TV in Milwaukee but they will black it out in the Milwaukee market for some reason. I have never understood that what I might drive to Pittsburgh and buy a ticket since its not on TV in Milwaukee? Odin knows you could get a ticket at PNC today lol.

So lets get number two today and welcome Cappy back to his winning ways.

Hurray Beer
Chris
