I usually talk about Eugene Kane columns at the BBA

But todays column is about the Brewers and Black fans(I refuse to recognize any _____-American they are all Americans in my book but that is neither here nor there)

The Stuff in the Column about Steve Hayward is more important to me than what Eugene is writing about. I like the fact that the Brewers organization and its players are reaching out to a demographic with a long history with baseball(yes not always a good history but a history none the less) It is important to keep bringing new fans to the Fan base if we want baseball to remain healthy.

I have been paying attention to when I have been going to games and it is true the crowd is 95% Caucasian 4% Latino and 1% "other" you have to really look long and hard to see a Black face in the stands at Miller Park. Which is a shame since baseball is such a great game and there are some good people wearing the Brewers uniform right now.

I would like to think most hard core baseball fans have moved beyond the color of a players skin or his religion. Hall Fielder Weeks Gwynn are black Braun is Jewish, a good portion of the pitching staff is Latino along with Johnny Estrada(who according to Bill Hall speaks no Spanish) Hart Hardy are White.

And guess what I could care less I like them because they are Blue and can hit or throw the ball better than a lot of the mopes who used to wear Brewers Blue.

I would like to think I have achieved baseball fan color blindness, Hell most of the players on the team I do not like are White lol.

I really have no clue where I am going with this post but anyone else have any thoughts on the lack of black faces in the crowd at Miller Park and other stadiums, should MLB care? And if you answer yes what can MLB do to get Black butts in the seats?

Anyone want to jump in and recuse this train wreck of a post?

Chris
